Article 1         Purpose and basis

The National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences comprises dNTUNHS School Health Committee is established in accordance with the Regulations on Implementing School Health and Healthcare and the Reinforcement of the College and University Health Program, for the purpose of reinforcing school health and promoting the physical and psychological health of faculty, staff, and students.

Article 2         Organization

The Committee shall comprise a chairperson (the NTUNHS President; the NTUNHS Vice President, the Dean of Student Affairs, the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Dean of General Affairs, the Director of the Research and Development Center, the Director of the Accounting Office, the deans of each college, and the head of the Health Center as ex officio members; three to five appointed members; and two student representatives; the head of the Health Center shall concurrently serve as the executive secretary.

  1. The appointed members shall be current faculty or staff with outstanding performance in school health or expertise in school health; they shall be appointed by the chairperson.
  2. The two student representatives shall be appointed to the Committee in accordance with the National Taipei University Nursing and Health Sciences Rules on Electing Student Representatives to University Meetings.

Article 3         Term

The committee term for appointed members is 1 year; appointed members may be reappointed if they are elected as representatives again. In the event of changes to the position of an ex officio member during their committee term, their successor shall take over their committee responsibilities.

Article 4         Responsibilities

  1. Deliberations on the university’s health programs for the academic year.
  2. Reviewing and improving the university’s health programs throughout the academic year.
  3. Planning and implementing health promotion activities.
  4. Coordinating and recommending other tasks relating to school health.

Article 5         Meetings

  1. This Committee shall convene a meeting at least once per semester; ad hoc meetings may be convened when necessary.
  2. When convening the Committee meeting, the chairperson shall chair the meeting and invite involved parties as attendees if necessary. If the committee chairperson is unable to chair a meeting, the meeting shall be chaired by another committee member appointed by the chairperson.

Article 6

These rules and their amendments shall be implemented following approval at the Student Affairs Meeting.
